I think even if it's pneumonia (which it probably will be) she may have not sustained much permanent damage. She's still on the antibiotics and breathing treatments and had another x-ray yesterday. She must have been a little loopy when she told me about the CT scan...she said they didn't do it this time...that they did it the LAST time she was there. I just talked to her on the phone and she says she wants to get strong enough so she can get out of bed on her own. Thank god! I got a bit worried at the top of this thread before seeing this post. Hope she continues to feel better and tell her if I was there I'd fill her in on all the Aussie news reports. Awww...Alli... I will tell her. When she's feeling better maybe you two can have another chat on the phone

Levofloxacin(generic term).....wikipedia has info on it.Treats nosocomial pneumonia. If she's responding to the antibiotic that could be a good sign.? [Edited 1/3/07 18:05pm] Looking at the date you 1st posted and when your mom started feeling better, the antibiotics kicked in.

She's home today...they sent her with an Rx for Levaquin at home. I'm so thankful she's doing better.
