We managed to keep worthless things like the internet and still eat. It's just been uncomfortably tight. We couldn't have afforded to get sick, that sort of thing. I bet you'd eat Alex's tarantula before you'd give up the internet. Still, it sounds like you were pretty close to, if not in the bottom layer of Maslow's Pyramid there for a while. That's not a fun situation to be in, so I'm glad you'll have a few extra bucks from now on.

My man and I won't give up internet or our cell phones (because we don't have a land line), but we'll stretch every last bit of food we have until payday. Forget driving more than I need to! I'd forego visiting friends to avoid buying more gas. Things are a little better now though. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

I remember the days of not knowing how the hell I was going to buy diapers for our son.
The beginning years are tough. Now I buy $6 bars of soap.

Congrats on the new job...what a great way to start 2007!
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

The beginning years are tough. Now I buy $6 bars of soap. I can't afford a car, but I went to england twice last year and managed 2 US trips and another mini-vacation at home besides. It's all about choices. Sure, sometimes you're more down than others, but even the little things (like a $6 bar of soap) can sometimes make you feel rich. |

Yep, it's those little luxuries that make me feel like I'm not just working to pay bills. I buy lots of $6 soap actually. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com
