Ex-Moderator | I've never really had insomnia, per se, but I will say I absolutely HATE it when I cannot sleep. Usually it's cause of too much caffeine, too much noise or non-ideal sleeping environment (which means I'm not in my own bed, in my own house. )
I get very, very cranky when I don't get sleep. It's probably the one thing that causes me to become a complete and utter bitch. I really can't handle not getting to sleep. |

I had insomnia for about 7 years.
And excercize program really really helps better than drugs. At least for me it did. I think mine was related mostly to stress and worrying all the time.

I went through a period when I had insomnia a lot. It's awful. I sympathise.
I would just lay there and tell myself that resting quietly was the next best thing, and listen to the sounds around me and to my own thoughts, and then if I didn't end up falling asleep, that meditative state would leave me feeling decent a lot of the time. But it still sucks. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Yes, sleep is important. That's why it's better to just take a sleeping pill rather than lying awake all night. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

I'm so sorry to hear that Jers. Be careful driving.
I couldn't sleep at all last night. I ate a sandwich and it didn't sit well. I now have food poisoning. M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! I've had it for years, generally I’ll get about three maybe four hours of sleep a night and some nights just I don’t sleep and that's even with sleep aids.

It's probably every young parent's dream to reach that point. People are pretty attached to their sleeping habits, so it's a shocking thing when you first become a parent. When you can get to the point where you think to yourself that sleep (or lack of) doesn't matter that much, then you can just go with the flow.

I'm exhausted all day long, and at about 11pm I wake right up and lie in bed for hours. Then I start angrily tossing and turning, worrying that I won't be getting enough sleep yet again, closing my eyes real hard to intimidate the sleep into coming.
Once I'm falling asleep, the cat usually scratches at the door and I have to start all over again. Weed used to take care of all this, but I don't smoke anymore! My Legacy
