Craig's List?

Have you any stories about it?

Have you ever checked it out? http://www.craigslist.org...ities.html

Let's hear your bitching about it.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

I use it to get rid of junk. I post stuff for free and it's gone within a half hour.

I used Craigs list when I moved because I needed cheap furniture, fast. I know there are some bad apples on that site, so I"m pretty picky about who I decide to buy from. I wouldn't use it to buy anything really expensive, because then I might as well buy it at a store.

I did use it to get rid of some unwanted furniture for free, which was better than paying to take it to the dump!

exactly! I've sold some stuff on it to and that worked fine.

Actually, my company does most of its hiring from craigslist, though I work with some loons!

Craigslist in San Fran is practically a way of life. It's great for..

Finding a new apt
Getting rid of Junk
Finding good Junk (like that crappy bike that makes for a PERFECT Burning Man bike)
Meeting People (sorta)
Artistic Hookups
Lost and FOund

I think it should NOT be used for (or caution should be used)

Home Buying or Selling
Finding a GOOD job (Finding a wierd or kooky job like "Clean my House" is OK)
Sex

I know a gay guy here in Vegas that used it for hook ups. He would respond to ads and post them to complete strangers and meet up with them and fuck them when they flew into town. I guess Vegas is the place for that kind of thing but it totally creeped me out.

I use it to get cheap tickets at the last minute and sell stuff. Beware of the responses you get that ask for your personal information before they see your items for sale in order to send you an overseas check, etc.

I'm pretty sure that's the site that had controversial "roommate wanted" ads. There was an article in the WSJ about it. Some ads stated specifically type of nationality, race, religion. There was a question of legality and the site's responsibility for the posts. Some were men who only wanted a female roommate.....

I've had no luck with it. Everyone seems to be looking to get something for nothing, and those selling items want more then I can buy something better off ebay.
