Inland Empire? Anyone Anyone?

Anyone see this? My friend was in NYC and he said it was boring. I am sorta against any Lynch movie over 2 hrs where I can't pause it for a smoke or bathroom or something (though the loooong pauses in Lost Highway did provide some relief...just to get back to my seat and not much had happened).

The reviews are 50/50.

I think I may wait for the DVD. Anyone see this?

See it if you're a huge Lynch fan, otherwise, wait til DVD.

It has great moments and the sound design is hot, but it runs long and there's just a lot of pointless stuff in there.

I just don't know. I agree seeing a Lynch film on the Big Screen is always an experience, but after Lost Highway, I don't know if I have it in me biggrin I have yet to see Lost Highway again.

I'd be into that. nod I was once a fan and then I abandoned Mr. Lynch because of all the mysogyny and stopped watching his movies for good and then for some reason years later I found myself in the theater watching Molholland Drive and I was like eek that's the best movie of the decade if not the century eek clapping

Being as my sig is taken from a Lynch film, I gotta comment.

My film critic friend Cole Smithey called "INLAND EMPIRE" (yes, it's all caps) the best work Lynch has done since "Blue Velvet." Reviews have been mixed, but its received more praise than hisses.

Actually, Lynch is coming out with his own brand of coffee. I'll be ordering a ton of it just before season 2 of "Twin Peaks" gets released.

did you ever see Martin Short's dead-on Lynch impression in "Jiminy Glick in La La Wood?" The movie's lame...but he does a FANTASTIC Lynch.

the official site says it comes out in SF in January. once we have a firm date i say we make it an org date. woot!

I hate to admit this but I think Fire Walk With Me is my favorite Lynch film...taken outside of the twin peaks mythology and its a great haunting story...

oh, heh, yeah - i saw that. i thought it was kind of a random impersonation for him to do in that movie, but it was cute. nod

Don't apologize. FWWM is fantastic and woefully underrated.
