School Trips Get left behind? Go somewhere utterly amazing? Get bollocked by a lardy coach driver? Find out the school nurse was secretly bonking the Geography teacher? All these and more on just one five day trip to the Dorset coast. Whahey!
Tell us how your school trip spiralled out of control.

I had a school trip to Canberra (about 3 hours from Sydney, and the Capital of Australia) when I was about 15/16... I LOVED Canberra but had one of the worst weeks of my life there because I was teased badly. not a big fan of school trips

Ex-Moderator | The only trip I took with school was when we took our one act play to the International Thespian Festival held at Ball State University (yes, that's the real name ) in Muncie, Indiana. This was the summer I turned 17. I remember having fun sneaking off campus to go to a pizza place called the Flying Tomato (I think) and seeing a band play or something. In any case, we ate pizza.
And our play was well received. |

Yes
Paris at 15 - was amazing; my first taste of paris. Great fun. Wales at 13 - down mines, camping, up at 4am...fucking fantastic. Dartmoor at 17 - great trip; boring as hell, lots of beer, manic depression and thus great songwriting! Then there were the trips to the beach, etc.

The last guy who came out left 2 days later following the abuse. omg seriously? wow... It's not really bullying, but more no one respects you, or takes you seriously, now that you have a taste for boys. I think it's just the fact that you instantly become a nobody and ostracised that makes people want to leave. There's no like shouting "homo" across the road or anything; what happens is that the kid'll come to class and no one will talk to him; not hostily; it's just people won't make idle chat. When the boy knows the reason is because he is gay, and half the time they're not - half the time it's experimentation - then they usually hate it and leave; although 3 boys stayed on and now they're viewed normally like it's nothing. Also, at my age and in my year I don't think it would happen anymore. The last time it happened we were all intolerant 14 year old shits.

in junior high we had a weekend camping trip, called "outdoor ed". my partner got changed at the last minute to this girl who OBVIOUSLY didn't know how to bathe or wash her clothes and i had to sleep in that tent smelling her stink all night. other than that it was great fun!
in grade school there was a big field trip where the kids went singing christmas carols at the mall, then were going to tour the local radio station and get to say stuff on air and everything. since i don't celebrate christmas the spelling teacher told me they'd come back to the school to pick me up on the way to the radio station, so i go and sit and wait when she told me to be there and they never show up. i finally go find the teacher who told me this and she said very bitchily "they're not coming back to get you, you're here for the spelling test!" i was so disappointed that i told her i was sick and went to the nurse's station and cried. There is no perfect place
Yes I know this is true I'm just learning how to smile Thats not easy to do
