Food Network: The new MTV?

Vanessa Minillo, Damien, Suzi, LaLa, the kids at Laguna Beach, the Real World, etc., can all go to hell. Bring me Giada, Rachael Ray, and Emeril!

Nigella Feasts is my new favorite show on my favorite tv channel!

Whenever preparing a meal for one she (Nigella Lawson) gets down and dirty and sassy--eats it right out of the skillet!! lol highfive

...Tiptoes downstairs to the kitchen, in the middle of the night, and eats out of the refridgerator!! falloff

Her recipes are good. fallinluv

(And, her accent makes me "home"sick.) Foodtv wins!!!

as national obsessions go, i guess it beats reality television. i mean, food tv kind of IS reality television, but at least it has some kind of practical function that they're pushing in a fun way. i'm all for that. i'm sure they'll find some way to ruin it soon. lol

I liked foodnetwork WAY before anyone else did.

Now it's gonna be like this big THING, thats COOL, and it'll get all stupid.

Kinda like bulimea. I did that WAY before anyone else, and now it's like all popular and shit. rolleyes

Oh. I thought this was going to be about the Food Network following MTV's history and switching programming to craptastic shows that don't have anything to do with food anymore. confused

soon the food network will succumb to content-free programming involving self-absorbed teenagers with a penchant for nudity and poor freestyling skills.

soon. nod

I used to love Food Network, but I stopped watching it because it turned into reality cenral. I'm an easy to please kid when it comes to food programs - show me how to make some good shit and I'm good to go. I don't need tits, crotch, cleavage and sultry voices. Hell, Julia Childs had all that and could bake a masterpiece out of a pile of shoestrings.

I'll stick with my PBS food programs for now - America's Test Kitchen, Everyday Food, Cooking with Joanne Weir, etc. Food Network got rid of their chefs and replaced them with celebs and that twit Rachael Ray. Lord, how I'd love to shove an etouffee down every one of her irritating orifices. Yum-o!
