Me likey likey whiskey. I am turning into an old man very quickly; in the last year I have started to appreciate whiskey AND cigars. I like whiskey too. I'm not too fond of cigars, but I like cigarettes. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Where's that emoticon of the smiley with a packed bag waving its underwear? grammar edit [Edited 1/2/07 9:37am] You sir would be correct. I love that underwear smiley. I can't find it though. Rip swears it's a handkerchief, but you and I know different.

You never know what's going to inspire a slasher. I'm constantly surprised that there isn't more slash in the Bowie/glam rock fandom. It's so obvious, how could they not? But so far I've only ever found a small handful of fics. And then there's this site's namesake. It's a bit odd to me that no Prince slash ever appeared, especially considering the HoYay! fodder that was UTCM. That'd make for an interesting study topic, wouldn't it? Different fandoms and their link to slash. Some fandoms just go hand in hand with the fan fic, like Buffy, and others barely exist in the same universe. I know, we talked about this before. I want one w/ Bowie and Bolan. And I am a crap writer, so I can't rely on myself for that. My problem too. I so badly want some Jagger/Bowie, but my writing's embarrasing, to say the least. Any of the above is cool with me, as long as it's well written. Slash ranges from a strict G rating to hardcore X, depending where you look. Lately I'm a big fan of pairings that don't appeal to me sexually, but play off each well or in an interesting way. An talented writer can make even the unlikeliest pairing work. But damn if that pairing isn't perfect. The original OTP. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Thanks so much everybody.
I was crabby when I started this thread and feeling all petty and annoyed because relative newbies were getting all the loving. Yeah, I know it's stupid and yeah, I'm an attention whore. But thanks, guys. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Just kiddin'.... ...or am I????? All joking aside, I know what you mean. I've gotten pretty attached to a lot of people here, none of whom I've ever met in real life. I guess it's sort of like characters in a favourite tv show or book that you grow fond of, except that you (sort of) interact with people online instead of just watch. You have good cheek bones. I'll be your friend. Oh man, I wish I looked half that good. It's Jonathan Rhys Meyers in Velvet Goldmine. Sadly, I'm not male, Irish, or rich and won't be any of those in the forseeable future, either. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
