careful of the steroids, they really only fix things temporarily--plus they shrink your weiner kidding! I used something called Claron (or Klaron?) lotion that pretty much was the answer for me after the steroids failed in the end. and I haven't given up lotions or oils, I just stay away from the perfumed ones My Legacy

I have eczema on my hands (I also have wicked dustmite allergies and get weekly injections) but, it's never gotten to the skin-layers-peeling-off stage. My derm. says to avoid super hot water when washing dishes or taking a shower. That really irritates it. Also, I find that with the hardwood floors I haven't gotten it quite so bad and don't have to use the ointment given to me by my doctor nearly as much.
