fer sure!
i can see if my mom had a creative bone in her body and decided to blend, strain, and remake her own wrapping paper out of recycled left overs from the year before, but she just tries to stretch the torn paper over something the size of a tv set lol
it's kinda funny giggle

My family never did that, but a couple of wierd Christmas quirks

1) My mom gets up at the butt crack of dawn on Dec 26, and forces us to take her shopping all over town for 1/2 off Christmas cards (for the next year lol falloff )

2) My mom makes a bunch of fruitcake which we never eat. She thinks her fruitcake is delicious, and she's totally proud of it. falloff

3) I open presents like I'm performing surgery falloff. The wrapping paper always looks so well done when it's not me that wraps it, so I feel so guilty taking the present apart. lol

Everytime whether it was a Christmas gift or a Birthday, my mom would grab the paper to keep for using again.

My mom saves the bows/ribbons but not the paper.
We have to go to my grandparents for xmas eve dinner every year and we use plastic/"paper" plates. My grandmother washes the plates and uses them again. disbelief (I stopped eating dinner there a couple years back--I eat before I go so I'm not hungry when I get there.)

Well, I intend to demolish the paper on my packages under the tree..... Stick that in your conservative craw!
