I'm having a terrible Christmas with lots of family fights and angry feelings completely out of control. What's your excuse?

I've spent the morning at work trying to clear up some problems before year-end and doing the odd bit of orging to get away from it all. I'll be heading over to my sister's for present-openings and dinner shortly.

I've had my share of horrible Christmases. I hope that this one can be over for you soon.

i'm waiting for my dad and stepmom to get ready so we can go to my stepuncle's house for Christmas. This Christmas has been pretty good so far.

Christmas has traditionally been really depressing for me. Not really anymore, but in my teens & 20's.

Perhaps because it's supposed to be such a happy time, I was always aware of how lonely I was, even surrounded by family.

I hope yours gets better soon.

MarieLouise: Yeah I'm okay I suppose. I just hate it when there's so much bottled-up tension everywhere and it all decides to explode at the same time. Some things that have been said this Christmas will be difficult for people to take back or explain even if they wanted to, so there will be a long aftermath I'm afraid. Glad your Christmas went well.

JasmineFire: Aww sorry to hear that. What is it with Christmases and people losing their temper? Is it the year's accumulated stress combined with some unfortunate comments when people get a bit too merry? Or maybe it's the pressure that everything should be so joyful that it backfires? im here cuz we did christmas yesterday on the eve
today, everyone's working, im chillin...still sick as a dog with this friggen cold
but the initial reason i logged on today was to find out if what i heard about Mr. Brown was true...and well... yeah...

i'm still here.

My dad's side of the family has started this Christmas breakfast thing every year.....so we did that Saturday, and in about an hour my mom's side is gonna come over for Christmas day dinner. I'm just killing time until every gets here. People on my mom's side are notoriously late....I guess that's where I get it from. So it'll probably be 2 hours before they get here.

Waiting for food to be cooked and people to show up. Everything's an hour late. As long as young children aren't waiting to open presents, it's OK to run behind.
