I gotta get my dad a last minute gift, what to do! I just got back from some last minute Christmas shopping and was wrapping my gifts when I realized the only shit I got for my dad was a bottle of two buck chuck from trader joes and a gift certificate to See's Candy. I just went to target and it seemed like all they had left were Space Heaters, Socks, and DVD's. I know he likes the outdoors but REI is like a half hour drive from my place and is packed to the gills, and thats the only place he likes to get his camping shit from. What do 55 Year Old active single males like for Christmas? Help I have one day left! Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

go to REI and also get him a magazine subscription. they're cheap, and if it's something he likes to read, it's a gift he'll continue to get all year. one of the best gifts i ever got was when someone gave me a gift subscription to the new yorker - i had subway/bathroom reading every week for a year!  | |

i think you should get your dad the box set of bjork's dual disc remasters. it's a little pricey, but he's sure to love it. well, okay, he probably won't like it at all, because nine out of ten dads hate bjork. but buy it anyway and ship it to me, and i'll gladly re-gift a "gently used" aero bed i have sitting in my closet and mail it to him from you. it's a good deal if you think about it. he'll only have to patch the aero bed up in like two or three places, and nobody has to tell him what the stains are from.  | |
