Yule / Winter Solstice was yesterday and we lit many a candle

our ritual was stunning

Winter Solstice

After sunset, light a white candle.

Place a vase of flowers next to the candle.

Say aloud – "I gather in the power of mystery and creation, of goddess and god, yin and yang,

I call in the elements, fire, earth, air, and water, to work with me to manifest my desires in the coming cycle."

Read list aloud ( of all you wish to manifest in 2007 )

Say aloud – "I affirm that I am able and willing to allow these wishes to manifest for the greater good of all and that I participate in the energy of creation, nurturing, and harvest.

So be it. And so it is."

Allow the candle to burn until you go to sleep.

Save your list by putting it somewhere safe.

Respect the evening by drinking or eating something special.

I don't do a set ritual each year ... the theme is the same though every yr it changes

Often times we use a Yule log and we always use Candles / firelight

Sounds nice. I don't tend to have a desire for much ritual in my life, but if I did, it would be this kind of thing.

Good for you! I don't ritualize anything too. Such Dogmatic praticices are pointless.

For the flame that lights the candle is of lesser value then the light, and the light is percieved by those that will, so within one's mind the light should be lit.
