Night Terrors....

I've had 2 night terrors in the past week. At least I think that's what they're called. It's when you feel like you're awake but can't move. You also get this weird paranormal type feeling.

Last night I had this dream that I woke up and got out of my bed. Everything in my room was re-arranged. I would turn my head and things were moved around again. It was really kind of scary. I wanted to wake up but couldn't. After that, all of a sudden I'm outside. I see a friend (some straight guy that I've known since junior high and I've always had sexy dreams about him) and I start kinda grabbing his butt as he walks inside the house.....

THAT'S WHEN I WAKE UP!!!!! NO!!!!!

This is my life.....

I love them love

I get addicted to that feeling and all the adrenaline. I used to eat cheese before bed to make sure i had terrible nightmares and woke up petrified. I love the rush.

Yeah; I'm an adrenaline junkie. confused

Yes, and then you think you woke up but then it's still a dream. It's very annoying and it can be frightening.

That's awful. That would totally break my heart. Do you know if it's because of her sleeping position or because she watched a horror movie. I know if I fall asleep on my back (shut up people, no slutty comments) I will definately get them. Both nights that I had these dreams or whatever I left my electric blanket on. I really think that it's a factor in my night terrors and nightmares.

I get that feeling of not being able to move when I sleep on my stomach.

A few years ago, I was having anxiety, and it affected my dreams where I kept dreaming I was in the same spot I was sleeping , and the dreams were so realistic that I couldn't tell the difference at times.

It's like Spooky says, though, food really affects my dreams. If I'm full, or I ate spicy food late at night, I'm bound to have weird dreams & bad sleep.

Night terrors are awful.

If your dreams are exceptionally vivid and you are aware that you are dreaming and are trying to either wake up or alter the course of your dream, that phenomenon is called 'lucid dreaming'. Many people strive to accomplish this but cannot.

Hahahahaha!! I totally thought of that after I had the dream. I said to myself "Great, a gay poltergeist." hahhahha!!

And yes, I, Miguel Gomez, am a homosexual.

Anx

i had an ex who i lived with for three years who had night terrors all the time. just out of nowhere he'd scream like a banshee in his sleep and it would take several minutes for me to talk him down when he woke up. it used to scare the crap out of me.

i often have stress dreams where i'm falling through pitch blackness and i flail in bed before i "hit the ground", but i kinda like those dreams. they're like being on a rollercoaster.

I just don't understand why every thread in this forum has go gay so quickly. disbelief

Anyways, I rarely have night terrors anymore, but I used to get them frequently, well into my 20's. I'm aware when I get them now, so I simply dissallow myself from feeling scared, and understand that my conciousness needs to "sink a bit lower" into a dream state.

I have had two really stupid Lucid dreams lately. The last one involved me walking into an office and looking at the papers, staples, and other office items in there. I knew that I was lucid dreaming when it was occuring just becuase of the stark clarity of my vision. I was marvelling at how real everything looked. Unfortunately, I slipped into some non-lucid dream a few minutes later.

I've had 3 dreams about Anx lately too. disbelief
