So what's on your lists? Do you even have one?



At the video store I thought I'd go for a British flick for the evening so I came across "Things to Do Before You're 30", a comedy. Didn't fancy anything complex that night and from the sleeve it looked like a total "time-pass" film, so I hired it. Barring two scenes, it turned out to be a load of codswallop!

Anyway, fuck that. What I wanted to say was I guess there could be two kinds of lists. One sort of sensible, you know, career, bank balance, finding Mr/Mrs Right, globe trotting and the other list a little more audacious or risque such as (examples from the movie) having a threesome , a hetero/homosexual experience depending on your orientation, spending a night in jail, and so on

Have you got any definitive things to do before you hit 30 (40 or 50 or 60 as the case may be)? Do tell

I just want to make it to bed at the end of the day. That's enough of a goal for myself.

i'm fairly certain both my parents are going to go through their entire lives without ever having traveled outside of the united states. i don't want to share that fate, and i'm taking care of that little problem next year when i travel overseas. i wanted to do this by the time i was 40, so i can mark that off the list.

next is when i turn 38 - i want to have a formal dinner party, because it will be my 20th anniversary of being a vegetarian.

. walk part of the great wall of China
. Trek in the Himilaya's and see Tibet
. swim with Seals and (seperately, obviously) with sharks
. see as much of the world as I possibly can

I want to finish writing a book that I started a while ago. And start a new one that I've been thinking about.

Spend some more time in England.

And find a way to leave the past in the past once and for all.

My next milestone is 40.

I plant to have lost 100 lbs. and to have graduated college and own my first home.

uhh...i'm 4 years away from turning 30 and i don't have any plans for that yet. when i turned 25 last year i marked that by getting my nose pierced on my birthday.
