Three hours and a lotta arm-twisting later... ...i finally got my 7th tattoo done. yep, i spent all of tuesday morning and part of the afternoon sitting in the tattooist's chair over at tatus by kore.
i got the bedsprings, minus the text, from this ad (i had to make a negative image of it in photoshop, so it'd be easier for the artist to work with) tattooed on my upper left arm, just below my edward gorey "mr. mephistoffelees" tattoo. it took about 3 hours to do (longest session i've been in so far...my other tats were done in around an hour and a half or less), plus it was the most painful tattoo i've gotten since it wraps around my arm; the ends of the design sorta meet underneath my arm, and those ends hurt like a bitch! plus, i had to keep my arm hung over the side of the chair and had to twist it backwards so kore could work back there. my arm and hand was falling asleep and chit. the design's still not quite done yet, because there's still some stuff to be added. i got another session coming up after the new year, so it'll be finished up and i'll try and get a picture taken of it so i can post it on here for ya'll to see. damned html edit [Edited 12/21/06 7:51am]

no pix until:
1) i get a digital camera, and 2) the tattoo's completely finished. another thing about it is that i still cannot believe that the other two places i went to were unwilling to do it because it was too difficult of a design to them. like hell it is, man--it ain't like i was wanting some elaborate h.r. giger design done or something! them fucking hipster bastids can stick to flash tattoos. the last place i went to before i got an appointment with kore said that the tat would cost around $375-$400 to get done. it only cost $235 in the end, which was awesome.
