Personal Highs & Lows of 2006 It's been an interesting year for me (as you're about to find out), so I was kinda wondering how things turned out for you? It's time to review the year and list your personal bests and worsts, your highs and lows... we're listening.
1) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR? Seeing Prince again - this time in Las Vegas. Best concert ever, closest I've ever been to him, hell - He "high-fived" me! 2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? (I know this is news here, but here goes) Mine and my wife's separation, after 19 years of marriage, 3 kids and 26 years of knowing eachother. 3) ANY REGRETS? Anything having to do with not being able to work it out with my wife... 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? Las Vegas, 3121, November 25, 2006! 5) WORST NIGHT OUT? I can't think of any one night... (well, nothing that I want to put out here). 6) BEST LAUGH? Coming here is always great for a laugh - can't think of any one moment though. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? Me and my boys. I love the time I spend with them. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? Mine and my wife's. Currently going thru divorce. Also, my relationship with my daughter has suffered. 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? To get out of a relationship that was clearly not going anywhere but down. To buy my new condo. 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? Make everything right again with my daughter, whom I love and adore. 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? My family. My brother Marty and his wife Sheila, especially. My good friend Scott, too. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? The end of my marriage. Living alone again. |

Too many too count. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? Everyone I love. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? See answer to number 2 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? Same as every year: Love life, love God, Lovesexy 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? Byron is my hero. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? Switching to teaching 6th grade. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

This is a nice little questionarre, Thanks! Sorry 'bout you n your wife.
1) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR? Um, selling my house. 2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? Having to go to court and get a restraining order on my husband. 3) ANY REGRETS? Yes. Well, No. Not so much regrets.....mistakes. But I don't REGRET them. Hmmm, So now, I'm thinkin' my 'mistakes' weren't even mistakes. Cuz everything happens for a reason rite? And were rite where were supposed to be? I guess I regret the OUTCOME of some of the things I've done, but I don't regret the things I've done. Yup, I'm talkin' to you. 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? 4th of July was cool. 5) WORST NIGHT OUT? Oh Gawd, there was a lot of them that ended pretty badly. Um, new years last year, I got a fine for breaking the gate in a gated community. 6) BEST LAUGH? We thought we won on one of those *win a 1000 a week for life* lotto tickets and I peed all over the kitchen floor. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? I'd be obvious and say my kids, but other than that I'd say my Moms sister. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? For the most part of the year it was my husband, but I'll also throw my Mom in there. 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? To get a restraining order and get seperated from my husband, and then to give him another chance. 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? Nothing too ambitious this year. A lot of family/quality time. I've just started working again, and I plan to get a permit so I will be 'legal' and more sucessful with that. 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? In the last 6 months I've learned who my real friends are, and oddly enough, it's NOT who I thought they would be. My most loyal friends turned out to be my high school friends. They are the ones who come out of the woodwork and are there for you no matter what happened in the past or whats going on. MAJOR props to my highschool friends, MAJOR. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? I've made a lot of changes this year. I've learned that I CAN'T ALWAYS be perfect, and I've learned that it's okay to make mistakes, but you have to 'fess up to them cuz the truth ALWAYS comes out. My family is changing a lot. We actually DO stuff together now, instead of just me and the kids. My husband and I are both in counseling and he quit drinking completely and I quit drinking all day every day, have onlty drank twice in the last month. mistake/regret edit [Edited 12/20/06 15:36pm]

1) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
Literally? Finally getting to the top of Mt Fuji despite an all-night climb in rain, with altitude sickness and hypothermia. Standing by the crater felt glorious. Metaphorically? Giving a speech to 500 Japanese people, with thundering applause as a response. 2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? When one of my best friends was diagnosed with MS. 3) ANY REGRETS? Yeah, wasting most of this fall worrying about what to do next instead of just doing it. 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? My 30th birthday, spent in Hamamatsu with two close friends. The evening started in an Italian restaurant on the 40th floor in a skyscraper and ended after having had a lot of fun in a busy izakaya. 5) WORST NIGHT OUT? Dinner at a restaurant with my parents, and their usual bickering. 6) BEST LAUGH? Maybe when a friggin' monkey stole my map on Miyajima Island. One second I was using it to find the way, the next second I was looking at the horizon with my now empty hands still in the air. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? Too hard to pick just one. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? Me and my dad probably. We don't get along at all these days. 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? I'll pick two: to go to Japan, and to return from Japan. 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? If things don't take off for me here, I might go travelling again. If they do take off, I'm prepared to spend quite a bit of time on my career for once. And I'm going to make more of an effort to find a girlfriend that I can spend all my bottled-up love on. 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? My friend Tobias. Loyalty is his middle name. A true friend. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? Moving to live in what is quite possibly the strangest culture on the planet.

1) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
My now-girlfriend telling me she had a crush on me. 2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? June7 said: "(I know this is news here, but here goes) Mine and my wife's separation, after 19 years of marriage, 3 kids and 26 years of knowing eachother. " I'm sorry to hear that. Mine was telling my boyfriend I was leaving him. I don't aspire to be a heartbreaker. But that's a lot easier than leaving a marriage. 3) ANY REGRETS? Being financially irresponsible and running up credit card debt. 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? Like, OUT out? The all-Prince shake-yo-pants action in MPLS. Thanks, kitties! 5) WORST NIGHT OUT? Last Friday. I was way drunk and a friend started hitting on me and was really touchy and aggressive and wouldn't stop and tried to get in a cab and go home with me and it was yucky. 6) BEST LAUGH? Oh. . .probably something Anx said. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? I'm awfully grateful for my relationships. Best NEW relationship is with aforementioned girlfriend. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? Well, my relationship with that friend who was molesting me the other night is a bit shaky right now. 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? Offering to watch my crush's dog that weekend. And having the foresight to take the following day off. 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? To do well in school and continue to enjoy my friends and family. 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? My best friend, and technically still-husband, Martin. I'm lucky to have him. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? Um. . .feeling seen and understood. I also quit working and went back to school full-time, but feeling seen and understood is bigger. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

God bless her 3) ANY REGRETS? Yeah, I should have just moved in with boyfriend...maybe not....then no regrets! 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? 1) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
Paying off all my credit cards in January 2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? Typing up a new resume. I hate job hunting, but I don't trust the place I work for anymore (poor management), so I have to be prepared and find a better position elsewhere. 3) ANY REGRETS? Ringing up my credit cards again, LOL 4) BEST NIGHT OUT? Several this summer in Pittsburgh of all places, including an interesting night at The Garden theater... lol 5) WORST NIGHT OUT? My friends X-mas party a couple weeks ago. Too many people there, I hardly knew any of them, everyone was huddling into groups doing drugs all night. Noone was in a good mood, bad vibes. I wasted a tank of gas driving out there. 6) BEST LAUGH? I left alot of my old clothes back home when I moved out. My dad was cleaning out some of my old stuff, and gave away a bunch of my tshirts to some people on his side of the family. One of them was a shirt from the Leather Stallion, a gay bar up in Cleveland. My uncle showed up to a 4th of July party with the shirt on, and I don't think he realized what the Leather Stallion was... I had to bite my tongue... LOL. Part of me was mortified, and part of me was laughing my ass off. 7) BEST RELATIONSHIP? Though we're not officially "dating", I've been meeting up with someone special for over a year and a half now. It's the longest I've gone monogamous with someone. It's kept me in good spirits in spite of some of the other stuff going on in my life right now. 8) WORST RELATIONSHIP? Some of the people I've always felt were my closest friends turned out to be completely two-faced, so I basically just have all casual friends now and no close ones anymore, at least for now. 9) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? I cut a few people out of my life that were making me miserable. 10) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? Move closer to Cleveland or Pittsburgh, and land a new job 11) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? My 3 dogs, especially the oldest one Dominique who I rescued from the pound 12 years ago. 12) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? This is the first year since 1994 that I've gone without smoking.
