Charlotte's Web - Cry me a River I just watched Charlotte's Web over the weekend with my sister and Nephews.
Although it's no masterpiece, and probably will be dismissed as tear-jerk fodder, I found it to be not only charming, but wildly funny. The dialog between the two crows in the movie had me rolling  , and the British "sheep" were almost as funny.
Example of the dialogue between the crows: [speaking about a scarecrow who they think is real] Crow 1: He hasn't moved in two days! Crow 2: He's a freak of nature! Crow 1: creepy!
And when Charlotte started to die, I found myself fighting back tears 
Not since dumbo or Forest Gump have I fought back tears
It was an Entertaining Flick. 
Maybe I enjoyed it so much because I was expecting so little.

just teasing, LOL . There was a cartoon for Charlotte's Web from the 80's that used to have me in tears as well. It's a great story. | |

The showed a rather interesting preview for Bridge to Tarabithia [/b] before the movie. It's much different than the way I remeber [i] that book. | |

/ [Edited 12/18/06 3:51am] This sounds good...at least better than the Chuck Norris version...Lets just say it's slightly different...replace the animals with the viet cong and bad acting and lots of killing...Damn now that I think about it was that Charlotte's web or was that Braddock missing in action 2?  clever clever quotation - attention getting quote - sad yet witty remark - look at me! Im deep quote- song lyric about my ex cause that bitch stole my mp3 player! - line from movie I liked - Prince lyric - not very clever sig mocking other sigs | |

i used to watch the cartoon version when i was little and it would make me cry at the end.
I've seen the previews for this one and charlotte just looks too much like a real spider and that scares me. the cartoon spider was nice and fake looking and i could handle it. I don't think i'll be able to handle the new one.  | |

The spider is very real looking, but Julia Robert's voice helps soften the blow, and the other animals who are repulsed by her turns into a sort of joke that helps soften the blow too. But if you are really really creeped out by spiders, Charlotte may be too real looking to handle. | |

saw a trailer for the new version this weekend when i took my friend's kids to see happy feet
lol i was reading the book the summer i fell in love with "1999" my sister had the only boom box so i spent a lot of time in her room listening to her tape all i have ever seen of the original cartoon was on a view master reel
