Guys are you nice to a lady because you like her or because you are just nice to ladies? My friend and I are discussing this topic, and she says that most of guy are just nice to women and being polite because they feel attracted to the woman, but I believe that some guys are just nice and not necessarily feel attracted to a woman.

I am nice to them if I like their clothes.

Oh, and I try to make up for my sexist ways by being nice to the unattractive ones once in a while too. See ladies, there's always some kind of a catch.

I'm not attractive by conventional standards, and when I go out with girlfriends who ARE, geezus, I'm FLOORED by how nice the guys are. They smile at her, they open the door (and sometimes, but not always, hold it long enough for me to get through it as well. . . I'm not fucking kidding you, I've had guys hold doors open for my friends and let go of them in my face on multiple occasions ), they speak differently. . . it's completely amazing.

Pretty people live in a different world than the rest of us.

And as far as some guys just being nice to ladies, even the unattracitve ones, yes, some of them are. Usually older black men. Seems like their mamas taught them right.

generally, Im nice to women if I feel them to be a motherly sort of figure, other wise I dont treat women any different than a man, in a social sense.

I don't even think it just happens with people who are of compatible gender/orientations. Straight women rarely give me the time of day either.

Gay men are somewhat more likely to be nice to me, but they aren't immune from it.

Neither are unattractive people. I'm SURE I "see" attractive people around me more and sort of let my eye pass over unattractive people. Even though my ideas about attractive might be a little different than most, I know I do it too. And ugly people aren't any more friendly to me than attractive people.
