Yogi Bear Creator Joe Barbera Dies By SUE MANNING
The Associated Press Monday, December 18, 2006; 6:47 PM LOS ANGELES -- Joe Barbera, half of the Hanna-Barbera animation team that produced such beloved cartoon characters as Tom and Jerry, Yogi Bear and the Flintstones, died Monday, a Warner Bros. spokesman said. I think most people my age grew up watching Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Tom and Jerry was a favorite growing up.....I never really liked Yogi though. Anyway....

The writer for Rocky and Bullwinkle died today as well. Chris Hayward created Dudley Do-Right. "Hayward contributed satire, wordplay and puns for "Rocky and His Friends," a witty cartoon that built a large adult following," excerpt from Yahoo. I loved those classic cartoons. Yogi and Boo-Boo, The Flinstones, Tom and Jerry. If you have Comcast, you can catch some of those on On Demand. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
