Marv Albert got his! Why didn't NBC give O.J. Simpson his job back?

NBC SPORTS ANNOUNCER Marv Albert went on trial on felony charges of forcible sodomy. He later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges.

NBC gave him his old job back and the public has embraced him. O.J. was found Innocent and now he can't get a job at Burger King?

Why didn't NBC give the INNOCENT man back his job like they did the GUILTY man?

...Well, as STUPID as this is, you have to remember one things...OJ was never found "innocent". Be careful how that is phrased. OJ Simpson was found "Not Guilty", which was strictly because the jury found "reasonable doubt". An INNOCENT person can be found as such when it is proven he did not commit the crime. That was not the case in the Simpson verdict. He was never legally found to have not committed the crime of MURDER, but rather found that the prosecution didn't prove their case strong enough. Like I said, check the terminology..."Not Guilty" is not the same as "Innocent"...

Murder of his White woman and her Boyfriend...
and because he utalize a crack team of defence atturneys
to beat the case, then Flaunting his win in the face of
America by having the UNMITIGATED GAUL to act as people do
who have not commited a crime...
AND DA PEEPLES SAY... HOW DARES HE!!!
truth of the matter is, he ran oout of money...

I have no doubts Mr. Cochran is a smart man. And, he does his job EXTREMELY well. But, what was the thing that took him over the top in the O.J. Simpson case was the anger that was felt in the L.A. area stemming from the Rodney King case, and the riots that followed the unjust first verdict in that beating case. He rode the public sentiment wave all the way to the shore, and got his man off. Can't blame him. As a matter of fact, you'd have to give him props for it. But, should it be celebrated...no. Well, unless you condone the release of violent criminals back into society...

...and, let me just add that I am from, and currently living in the L.A. area. I went through it...saw it all on TV...been through the South Central area to see the aftermath after those horrible days...and have experienced first hand the tension that to this day still exists within the community. It's tragic, and it will continue to be until people are willing to heal. The O.J. verdict was, in a sense, payback to the L.A.P.D. for their crimes...

...you, as many people have, conviently forgotten that he was proven to have commited those horrific crimes in a civil trial. Now, granted...that is based on the proponderence of evidence...and it doesn't require a unanimous decision of the jurors as a criminal trial does, but it still speaks volumes as to what the evidence says.

if it spoke volumes they would have got him in the criminal trial easily...if anything the civil trial was payback!...

By the way, if NBC gave Marv Albert his job back, they should give it to OJ also. What is good for the goose is good for the gander...in that case the whole damn goose family is some crazy mofo's, but equal just the same!!!

I just don't want OJ around sharp objects in close proximity to people, and I don't want Marv putting mayo on my sammich or working at a womans clinic... you feel me? But as TV announcers, neither one cause any harm to people.

You want OJ as a sportscaster?

Maybe it's cuz he's a worthless, dumb, ignorant man. Let us not forget, he played FOOTBALL! He's probably not even qualified for Burger King...

OJ can have his job back, but his paycheck would go directly to Ron Goldman's family, since they won the civil suit...OJ can't work and keep the money, too...

besides, NBC doesn't have much of a presence in sports any longer. no more football, no more basketball...what's OJ gonna do, call a NASCAR race? he's used to slow-speed chases, not 170 MPH races...biggrin
