The End of FEMALE BLOODLETTING?

Any women using these new methods to eliminate periods?

I would think it would do damage to the reproductive organs or hormonal balance.

ummm hello?? taking hormones in and of itself alters your hormonal balance lol

when a woman is on the pill she does not have a full period anyway
if you take something like seasonale and have a partial bleed once every couple of months that seems to be accepted by the medical community as perfectly safe.

I did it for a while. My doctor even recommended it since I get quite depressed as part of PMS. This way, I'd only get it 4 times a year instead of every month.
But birth control bills don't work for me at all. They make me crazy. It sucks.,

I tried that implant that goes in your arm
and bled most of the time sad
I had to take it out after 6 months
the contraceptive effect of it was it totally put me off sex thanks to all the goddamn blood disbelief

I have not been on any kind of hormonal treatment for a few years now, and feel so much better - I am 2kg lighter off pill than on

If (when pray ) I am in a long term relationship again I think I'll try the ring. It localizes the hormones, so hopefully it won't make me crazy like every pill I've ever tried has. I'm still not sure I really like the idea of something just hanging out in my hoo-ha for that long, but I'm not a fan of condoms (though I use them unfailingly now) and most doctors won't do IUDs anymore and the risks associated with depo in older women don't sound good either.

A friend of mine was on it for a while. It's a ring you wear inside that slowly releases the hormones and you take it out after 3 weeks, wait a week, then put in a new one. It worked well for her.

a friend of mine is on it and she loves it. using the pill made her crazy and she said that the ring is much better.

i can't use ti because i get migranes with focal halos or whatever those things are called. i'm using progesterone only pills (POPs) right now and i don't get my period anymore. it's a little freaky but it also simplifies my life quite a bit.

maybe im weird but i don't mind getting my period. Sometimes I get bad cramps and nasty moods but it gives me the great excuse to be a bitch. Cause I can...cause I'm a woman and I got my period. Sometimes I feel hotter than usual, overly confident and insane. I love it the mood swings are great. And ladies...hope you are on your period when you find out ur husband or bf is cheating on you...because if you severely hurt him or dismember some body parts you wont get jail time...nod why? because your raging hormones made you lose your mind. I enjoy my period thank you very much.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
