Am I taking this too seriously? she can start easing up on caffeine now, easy though because withdrawal is a mf er Root beer was my best friend congratulations! She's cutting down on the cups of tea already. I think the prospect of the next nine months plus without a decent cuppa is taking it's toll. I'm proud to say we're typical brits. Means I'm going to have to make all my own cuppas from now on. Perhaps I ought to give it up to help her resolve. Maybe not

Last night she tried it - two positives. She'll see the doctor on Monday. There's so much to think about - where do I begin? That is great, concratulations.

What? Do you mean....no more playstation, lie ins, beery nights out, relaxing sunday afternoons, weekends away, expensive foreign holidays in exotic locations..... instead.....Mother-in-law constantly interfering, bleary eyes, attending playgroup..... Hmmmm. Sounds exhausting. Hasn't stopped me smiling though. [Edited 12/17/06 6:54am]

well get ready for all kinds of advice...some of it will be good most will be worthless. what i love is the advice from NON-PARENTS! or the advice from the people with no kids that say "well took care of my nephew..."
the good news is... you all will figure it out! when we had our first we freaked out but you know... she let us know when she needed something... as time passed...she got more and more interactive with us... (at first pretty much all they do is eat, sleep, cry, and make diapers) also on a personal note: if your wife is thinking of nursing... make sure she gets support and help and advice from people that know what they are talking about. it can be hard at first and she may have to hunt for support (many pediatricians do not support it at all. if it is important to her find one that does!)

Ah, this is what I thought when my 2 (10 months apart) were going thru feeding time....my wife, in her infinite wisdom, decided that, even if I couldn't actually feed them, I should be awake and a part of the process...needless to say, sleepytime was a myth.....
