i'm mostly white (irish/english), but i'm also a little bit (like 1/4th ) burmese and native american on my mom's side, which is i assume why i've always gotten those comments.

I know that the Latin language came from Italy and all, especially since I studied it for four years, but I have never heard of any Italian person calling themselves a Latino but plenty identify as white.

I even had people from Spain who have told me that they are Hispanic and not Latino and that the term Latino only refers to those people from the Spanish speaking Caribbean and South America.

Labels confuse me but I also find them very intriguing, which is the only reason why I even brought it up.

The truth of the matter is that my mother is of Irish ancestory and my father is black from the Caribbean (Nevis).

Sometimes people will guess that I'm mixed with one black parent not usually.
