What are the benefits of DRINKING WATER?

I'm not talking about water fasting in this case, but just general consumption of water.

Aside from the obvious (avoiding death), what are the benefits of drinking water?
I've read some pretty outlandish claims on the Internet with regards to it's healing powers. shrug

It helps clean your body out.

Humans have to drink water. A percentage of your body is made up of water.

Here's a strange link where they try to link it to cancer (though they don't outwardly say it, it's obvious that is their message.) ??

http://www.healthrecipes.com/water.htm

I mean, the Internet is filled with "Water claims" hmm

I want to believe, but they just sound so...soo...sooooo outrageous.

Water devotion can be all too shocking.

Those who specialize in treating cancer using alternative medicine, stress the importance of drinking an ounce of water for every two pounds of body weight, every day. This is very difficult to remember if you don't feel thirsty. The best way to do it is to set a timer to sound every half hour and take a drink every time the alarm sounds.

who would really do that? wacky

We're 100% Carbon; everything is made from Carbon to some extent, except for Silicon, which is carbon's life competition.

There´s this guy named Dr. Faridun Batmanghelidj , I think he´s an American of Pakistani or Iranian descent, and he´s THE authority when it comes to the benefits of drinking water.

He claims that the root of most diseases is lack of water in your system, i.e. drinking more water can prevent diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure and so on...it is also supposed to boost your hormones and libido, according to Dutch scientists.

Hope this helps.

So the guy is giving it bag-of-water and I says to him you want to repeat that pal and he goes something about carbon, so I invite him outside to discuss it but his mates are there so I left it...
