MACA ...yay or nay ..your experiences ??? Does it really work ? As some of you might know I´m a little bit into healthy eating combined with the occasional supplements ( zinc tablets, ginseng, pumpkin seeds, protein shakes etc.)
I´ve read on some fitness websites that there´s this new stuff called maca, made of a root that grows in Peru...it´s supposed to be some natural aphrodisiac and increases your testosterone levels ( and estrogen levels in women´s bodies) and supposedly gives you more energy and helps you to fight stress. Has anybody on the org ever tried this miracle stuff? I´m a bit skeptical because it seems to me that every year people come up with some new kind of wonder stuff like noni juice, teatree oil, gingko, aloe vera and so on, and this might be just another way to rip people off but then again, who knows, some really claim it gives you more power and helps you to relax a bit ( plus it makes you real freaky ) So, any recommendations ? The price is another reason for me to be a bit skeptical..they charge anything between 10 $ up to 30 $ for the same stuff, whether its capsules or the pure powder...and they all claim "OUR product is the best, the real deal, the most organic blablablabla...." I´m confused. I heard it works quite well combined with a regular workout and taken with a bit of guarana. I want to change my workout plan and my diet as well, and I thought adding this stuff to my other supplements would be a good idea. Are there any risks ( for the liver or your kidneys )? Or does it interfere with your natural hormone levels and your libido after you stop using it ? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

they might have similar effects or properties, but they are not identical. Oh, is that really so ? I didn´t know that, I thought soy generates estrogen, hops also generates estrogen, and so on...no ? Then what´s the deal with all those bodybuilders using terrestra tribulis capsules in order to boost their testosterone levels for more power ? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Well, for wellbeing and power in general...and out of curiosity about the freak factor...I love sexing but I wonder if that maca stuff can make me hornier than I already am , you know..as long as it´s legal and has no side effects. I kind of lost faith in alot of these herbal supplements. Every few months they come up with some exotic herb or root or something that's supposed to work miracles, and it suddenly gets plastered all over the web and at places like GNC.
One month it's carb blockers, then it's CoQ10, then it's Hoodia, etc... Then once the hype dies down and enough word gets around that they don't do much of anything, they move onto some other miracle supplement and hype the hell out of that too.

There is no way to know what the stuff is or how exactly it affects you without independant research. And it's unlikely that there has been any.
At best, it's likely to do none of the things it claims. At worst, it could be dangerous. Be careful. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

You´re right ....that´s what I think, too...I also said it above in my thread....it´s either some new oil against all kinds of diseases and allergies ( like that disgusting dark Egyptian oil they came up with two years ago....ridiculously expensive ) or some aloe vera stuff to either drink, eat or rub on your skin, then it was ephedra until some people died from it, then they came up with that noni juice stuff, then yohimbe bark, years ago it was bee pollen and gelee royal in the eighties, now they have lots of other stuff to hype up... But still, some of it really works ( tea tree oil for instance, or propolis wax products etc. ) and that´s why I was wondering about this maca powder.
