(i like the carravaggio one too but this one speaks louder to me) [Edited 12/4/06 20:12pm] same here the caravaggio's amazing, but judith's too dainty. the gentileschi's more believable. not only dainty, but do you notice the uncertainty in her eyes? it's like she's not really believing what her hands are doing, i mean the hand that slices from tip to elbow doesn't even look like her own.. i think that's something he was trying to convey, the power behind the story... so i love me some art history i wrote a paper on it last year and yeah, i was all up on it. | |
