Post-Holiday Ordinance I think people should be fined if they wish you a Merry Christmas from December 26 through Thanksgiving.
I also think people should be fined for not taking their Christmas decorations down by mid-January. That's plenty of time and nobody wants to hear excuses. I think if people ignore repeated warnings and fines, they should have all their Christmas presents taken away and given to lifers in prison. I'm just trying to make the world a better place. What's the longest you ever waited to take down your decorations? Do you feel you deserve to suffer some kind of penalty? Describe.

I haven't had a Christmas tree for about 15 years. I think it's time. Next year I swear to dress up for Halloween and to decorate for Christmas. And to take the decorations down when ANX says so.

M oh, i don't think you have to DO anything for the holidays...it's more a matter of making sure to UNdo what you did. nothing's more depressing than a santa hat garfield doll sitting in your windowsill when its well into august.

I'm pretty obsessive about taking down my decorations by, say, Jan. 2. But my mother has been known to leave her porcelain Thomas Kinkade village up for years at a time in her living room. And while seasonally themed motifs should be taken down quickly, I otherwise rather enjoy seeing lits trees, bushes, etc, all year 'round. And, yeah, the "Merry Christmas" things after Christmas has always baffled me. [Edited 12/26/06 18:23pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
