What Spats said about being intimidated by pretty girls really IS true. When I see a drop-dead gorgeous woman who I'm interested in I tend to be more nervous and I might not be confident enough to chat her up because I might automatically assume she's dating someone or might reject me in a harsh way. In general, guys being intimidated by beautiful women can stem from bad experience when that guy was a teenager. Imagine being a boy in high school being kinda nerdy or awkward looking, trying to muster up confidence to talk to some pretty girl in class and getting rejected in a harsh way, even laughed at.... Imagine this happening again and again and again... Of course girls tend to grow up and they eventually stop being so childish and harsh in response when they're approached by guys but nonetheless the damage has been done to the self-esteem, at least the self-esteem of some guys.... So some guys assume they're gonna get rejected in the same kind of embarassing way they were rejected in high school even though in reality that is NOT gonna happen... It has everything to do with self-esteem..... Although it's probably not fair to put the blame entirely on the pretty girls, after all, as Katt Williams might say: "It's your muthafuckin' self-esteem! It's the esteem of your muthafuckin' self!"

But most of the time,
my intense shyness will reach a paralystic level,
& I'll just convince myself that she probably doesn't even know that I exist,
& I'll end up zipping up my pants & just go about my way,
forever tortured with the idea that I may have just ignored a message from God that she was the one.

by then they are usually in their 30's. And not the hotties they were when they were shallow.
