I played ball for 25 years. Iverson is a GUNNNNN period. Career 39% shooter. I'll will agree that he has NOT had much of a team but he is the MAIN reason 4 that. No one wants 2 play with the guy.

Ridiculous. First of all, he was is a career 42% shooter. Lest we forget the MVP and trip to the finals where the best teammates were Mutombo, Eric Snow, and Aaron Mckie. If it werent for the Shaq and Kobe Lakers, he would have his title. If he had the height of Jordan or Kobe, with his first step and relentlessness, 3 titles wouldve already been his. The Sixers have never surrounded him with enough talent. A no defense playin Stackhouse, an old Webber, Larry "empty numbers" Hughes, too many other spares to be mentioned. This mess is Philly's fault, not AI's

If? If?.....If U get 6 numbers in the lottery U would be rich. If.....that's funny. Thanks 4 the laugh. 39%, 42%...same difference. He missed way more that he MAKES.

.....should I go on?

None of them did what Iverson does. My exact statement was...."Let me know if you can find a under 6'0 175 pound guard that can do what Iverson does and shoot a percentage higher than 42% consistanly. I would love to read about him."

Did any of them win a scoring title? Did any of them have to as a small man carry a franchise for about a decade alone? Did any of them have a career average of 28.0 points a game, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.34 steals over their career? You just listed small guys that played the game at a high level. None of them equal Iverson...Isiah included. Not to mention no one asked of them what the Sixers have asked of Iverson over his career. Im not even debating this with you cause im an Iverson fan. Im a fan of the game...you cannot dismiss him as just some gunner. He is a will be in the Hall of Fame at some point im sure.

You don't like him that's cool...to each his/her own but you shouldn't dismiss him so easily.

Do you? Earlier in this thread you said "This guy will NEVER win anything close 2 a title or championship" but being as he has played in the NBA Finals I would say that is surely close.

Now the rumor is that minnesota is looking to trade Ricky Davis. I think Phily would like to have a player like him. Iverson would be a great fit with KG. I don't think Iverson would go to any team that didn't have a chance to win. I think goldenstate and the kings can be ruled out. The only other teams I could see him playing for would be the Rockets, Miami, Chicago, Denver, Cavs. I think Lebron and Iverson would be unstoppable! whoever gets Iverson will have to give up alot to get him. What team has a lot to give up, but will still have enough talent left to play with Iverson?

You are looking like a no-it-all ass on this thread. Others opinions aren't valid only yours because apparantly you KNOW the history of NBA basketball.

Personally I don't think you know jack about anything because people who don't know much tend to put down peoples opinions with statements like "Do you know NBA history".

I laugh at people like you (perhaps you should go back to pretending you know Prince).

Question. What NBA player CAN'T average 30 plus points a game shooting the ball 30 times a game?

For the record he is taking 24.4 shots a game this year which is slightly higher then his career average of 23.3 a game (Jordan averaged 22.8 for his career).

Omg your right...like Charles Barkely and Karl Malone Iverson never won a ring...Yeah he's garbage like the those other 2...No one wanted Barkley in Phili either cause well he must suck... And since Steve Kerr has more rings than all of them that makes him one of the greatest guards of all time...and man did he ever have a great shooting percentage...

Im just glad you came along to tell me what makes a great basketball player...

I don't have time to do the research right now but I am guessing there are a few players who average close to 24 shots a game but don't average 30 because they can't get to the line like he does. He averages 10 points a game from the line.

If any player is JACKING the ball up that many times a game, he will draw fouls.

But wait..Those 2 didn't win titles...they have to suck right? I mean Malone had an awesome shooting percentage *cough 6'11 power forward* cough* but his constant choking in big games aside he must suck cause no title right? Barkley same thing must suck...I recall Phili had a problem with his attitude and image...terrible player...good FG percentage tho...but no title...he sucks too. Isn't that how you guage NBA success Gray? Your last statement is a little contridicting.

Ok I think I got it...Kobe and Jordan are guns but they are ok cause they shoot a high percentage *cough 6'6 guards* cough* and have championships. Iverson sucks cause he shoots a low percentage and shoots 25 to 30 times a game cause he is the only scoring option on his team (and that is what they ask him to do every night). And his image is bad. I think I got it now. Thanks for the debate. Have a great day wave
