And you're 17? What did you do to earn a car like that? disbelief

My dad bought me a Camaro when I was 17, it was a total surprise, I had no idea.

When he gave me the keys, he said,"You are now going to get a job and make the payments. If you fail to make the payments, the car is gone."

So I remember definitely having to earn it.

So you didn't even ask for it in the first place and suddenly you had to work your ass off to pay for it? That's kind of raw deal. lol

When was an "oldie" made in a 17-year-old's world? 2003? razz

You can keep it if it's falling apart, I had enough of that with my 1989 Pontiac and my 1994 Ford. disbelief

.

It's a 1994. And that's only 'oldie' when it comes to cars in my world. razz

What kind of Pontiac? My mom had a Trans AM in the 80s and she said that thing almost killed her. So much went wrong on a daily basis she was actually scared to drive it. eek

I'm currently driving this in Red:

I've been looking at cars for over a year now, can't make up my mind because I don't want to make a decision I'll regret. I've been vascillating between about four different cars. I just told my husband that it's time to get off the pot and that I want a car for Christmas. We'll see, I'll probably just change my mind again!! lol

My next car:

It was a Pontiac 6000 LE. I loved that car and it took me to Alaska and the Yukon and back, but it sure had its fair share of problems. Even the licence plate fell off for no apparent reason, and one day it decided to drink up a whole jug of oil in one day without telling me, so the engine came to a grinding halt. Since we were way up in southern Yukon when it happened we filled it up with the thickest oil we could find and drove on anyway. Made it all the way back to Vancouver thanks to that brave car.
