I love to cook but don't have much time to do it.
I tend to make dinner for everybody when I do cook. Breakfast and lunch are eaten on the run around here. One of the people I live with is a chef and he does NOT like to cook at home if he doesn't have to. I started baking cokies yesterday and got called away and he wouldn't even put the last two batches in the oven. He does make lovely, yummy things to eat when he is in the mood to cook though. My mom's 100% German so I assume the stuff she makes is the real thing. She always makes potato dumplings to go with it. But what's American goulash like?

It's flank steak, and what you do is take bacon, scrambled egg and onion and wrap it inside the steak and tie with with string to keep it all together. Then you fry them in a skillet, and then let the roulade thingies simmer in gravy for a while. DELISH.

I'm the same. I get semi-prepared things and add my own stuff. Not completely from scratch, but more than just throwing a frozen meal in the oven. I also very much enjoy cooking with other people. And I do enjoy baking as well, but I never, ever bake anymore. (I can't eat any of it. ) Violett and I cook together very well. I think it would be nice to find a partner I can work together with in the kitchen on a regular basis. Oh my gawd, I never bake either. Never. Being good at cooking requires a little bit of knowledge and very little skill or precision. It's mostly about inspiration. Being good at baking requires a lot of knowledge, skill, and precision. I SUCK AT IT. Plus, it's almost impossible to scale down baking recipes for one person. Mary doesn't eat wheat or sugar, and I sure as fuck don't need to eat one dozen cookies any more than I need to eat two dozen. So, yeah, no. I would looooove to have somebody to cook and bake for me. My husband used to do it a fair amount. Mary does sometimes, but since we don't live together it's a little different. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Desire2006 said: Cooking is my other passion in life, apart from music, and I have loads oc cookery and recipe books, or download recipes from online, and when I cook, I usually make everything from scratch and search high and low 2 find specialist ingredients in either supermarkets, farmers markets, specialist food shops!!
I also try and watch cooking shows on TV in order 2 get inspired!! Same here! I love to cook. While most people hate the thought of coming home from a long day of work to make dinner, I look forward to it. Cooking gives me time to myself, and is another outlet for my creativity. It is truly an artform. I love finding new recipes (then putting a little twist in them to make them my own) and getting ideas from the Food Network. I always look for excuses to cook for other people. That being said, everyone is invited to dinner! Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com
