I don't think a man who can't cook is a turn-off, but it's a huge turn-on if he can.
Although, now that I'm thinking about it, I find it hard to date men who are culinarily (if I can make that a word) unadventurous. It's tough to go out to dinner with someone who's tastes are really different. One of the last guys I dated really wanted bar food or pizza most of the time. bleh. Not only is that unadventurous, it didn't work for my diet either.

Yup.

I swear, some girls wear it like a badge of honor--like, look at me everybody, I'm a liberated woman!!! rolleyes

It's like they view not being able to cook as a badge of modern day sophistication.

Hell no. Give me a girl who loves cooking, takes pride in shoving delicious treats down my throat and fattening me up any fucking day.

or just give me one Jerseykrs. sigh

I don't need a woman who knows how to cook. Why? I don't need anyone cooking for me. I like modern women.

ewww, having arch conservative/unadventurous eating tastes is SUCH a turn-off. i couldn't date anyone who has super-traditional midwestern eating habits. i mean, i've dated people who aren't vegetarian, but at least they're willing to come over to my side of the plate now and then.

You should try. You're still young. It's not something that most people just take to.

I ruined Thai spring roles my first 5 times before I caught on. It takes practice for some.

But I think I'm speaking for alot of men (especially men in there late 20's and beyond) that cooking is an attractive trait.

Not sure why, but I associate it as a feminine feature. shrug
