Once I've fallen in love with them, however, they're always going to be there. It's like you say, it could be years later, and one sleepless night you revisit those feelings in your mind and it feels as fresh as when it happened.

Are you talking about exes? Or the ones that didn't become relationships? confuse

As my man, Jers, said, in another thread:

life is completely scientific and mathematical.

Anyone who doesn't believe this in regards to "love" is a goddamn "Intelligent Design" proponent, as far as I'm concerned.

(inspired by evenstar's post in the lust and love thread)

I had this housemate I knew in the biblical sense, and I knew he was moving away in the next month, so I said to myself I won't fall in love with him cause it's not really convenient. (He asked me to move with him, but I really didn't know him well enough.)

Anyway, on the last day I realised that I was so in denial, but I kept my feelings to myself and never told him. 12 years later I still dream about him. I cried my eyes out for about a day and then got back on my horse.

Did you ever manage it? How? Or is it really impossible?

IMHO, the thing to do w/ such a story is write a song about it.

cool! woot!

and thanks Ace, for hosting my thread while I was sleeping! lol

yep. I've grown obsessed with people w/no sex, or loved people as friends, but not sure about "falling in love."

I don't think it's impossible without sex, I just don't think it's happened to me except with girlfriends ie boff

That's sad, but I think I know what you mean. Love continues, lust continues, but that euphoria of a new relationship doesn't continue.

Ottensen

NO. NEVER.

And that's probably just because I'm hard headed.

I'm crushing majorly right now, but at least now that I'm older, I realize if anything is to come of it, then I simply have to be patient and let things run their course as they are meant to.

Still doesn't keep me from being terribly lovesick, though bawl bawl bawl bawl bawl
