I just started watching this show. I'm on episode 9 or so of season 1. I have to say it's surprisingly good. Waaaay better than the first BG. Haven't seen an episode yet that wasn't excellent.

I love the original and TNG, but in recent years I think Star Trek has fallen off. Enterprise had a great pilot episode (with certain elements that BSG picked up on), but got bad really quick.

Battlestar gets the behavior of people right. Star Trek has people painted as black or white, good or evil.

And BSG is just a good show that happens to be set in space. It's not always about wormholes or alternate realities.

I didn't care for the last 2 episodes on Sci Fi, but It does look like its the next episode is setting up a new fun arc for the second part of the season.

Yea the Hybrid is a great bit of writing, Its a great idea of a character. I just wonder if they are going to add more elements from the Original series, i.e Lucifer or Baltar getting his own ship. Thats what I like a lot bout the show, it takes the old ideas and reinvents them.
