I also kind of dislike stupid, rich people drinking and driving, foul-mouthing when someone is smart enough to get their ass off the road.
That mug shot of him willa lways on my mind when I see him now; leering stoopid.

I wanted to see it originally becuase I tend to like Chase Movies.
But from the descriptions of violence I've read so far, I may sit this one out. I'm one of the few folks who saw Braveheart and thought...meh

I saw it last night and it was awesome! Sad and suspensful. It was gory, but there were only a few short scenes where I thought the gore was gratuitous.
Loved it. Best flick I've seen all year.

After seeing Jesus get beat down in the Passion of Christ, I don't know if I can take more violence of that sort. Just the History Channel's version of that period was hard enough without them screwing my mind up with a love story. Cable perhaps.

Let me know if it's too violent. I don't have an issue with Mel's personal life/beliefs--I just have a week stomach for torture.

I don't care if Mel's crazy as far as movies go. But it seems like he's really into high violence. I thought the Passion was ridiculously over-done. And for all his supposed reality (Aramaic language, for example) he still had a blue eyed Jesus and a fantastic tone--ala Lord of the Rings--that made the whole story less realistic. It works for LOTR because that wasn't supposed to be real life, after all. My Legacy

I'm not saying the film couldn't be good or that all film violence is bad. But Mel's stuff is super violentand over the top, to me. I just don't connect with it. My Legacy
