Probably Shindler's list.

It's not my favorite movie. But it's stunning.

My favorite movie is Alien.

I guess that would be the Cheech and Chong movie with Peewee Herman.

( Just kidding)

Amadeus still has the power to mak me laugh and cry in the timespan of one movie. Beautiful acting, beautiful music.

That's impossible...

I liked:

- Babel biggrin Saw it last night and it was good, but it would have been better if Amores Perros and 21 Grams hadn't existed

- Dogville

- Bleu

- Cidade de Deus

and many more. A real good movie is easier to find than a real good book, in my opinion.

You mean the Kieslowski one? Yeah, I really liked that. He managed to capture that weird atmosphere and emotional aftermath really well. Most movies don't dare to follow the characters that far through a process. Instead they end with some kind of profound comment or a beautiful image when the interesting and most difficult phase of the drama would have started.

Exactly. I'm not someone who watches movies twice, but this one has made me. I really like the unresolved question as well. Did she write the music? You wonder and then realize that's not what the movie is about.

I love Juliette by the way. If I were a man, I'd love to give her a subtle lick behind her ears.

Yeah, she's great. There are so many talented French actresses out there that are gorgeous as well. You almost fall in love with them a little bit while watching their movies.

That's a hard one. I get all soft watching Jeremy and Juliette in one movie, doing the things they do. biggrin

But, I'm missing some nuance in this movie. It's too black and white to me, not about real people...

good point nod but the passion, drama and self-destructive aspects of the movie make up for the settings, imho.

It is brilliant.

Deals with fascinating philosophical issues. It's a shame it became so clichéd, because it's fucking amazing.
