I usually make a bunch of different Christmas cookies each year. My best friend and I exchange cookie trays, I give some to my mom and keep the rest at home for our Christmas Eve buffet.

This year I'm making:

Sour Cream Cutouts
Crisp Gingerbread cutouts
Grandma Kate's nutroll cookies
peanut butter kiss cookies
biscotti
apricot crescents
cranberry icebox cookies
pecan pie squares
cappuccino truffles

I've got the sour cream cutouts and nutrolls already made and in the freezer. I'm making the peanut butter kiss cookies today. Isn't it amazing how such a simple cookie (peanut butter cookie with Hershey's kiss in the middle) can be so delectable?

Anyone else doing any baking?

the only thing I 'baked' was ANX's PuppyChow that was enough calories to last me till next summer.

I've got to bake something for a cookie exchange for work next Friday and the traditional Hungarian pastries we make every year.

the teens will be outta school in a week for the hoildaze break ...and we'll bake all sorts of YUMMIES

I'm going to be making a buttload of fudge next week.

At the moment I am trying to invent the perfect PUD for his Royal Purpleness and i'm stuck for idea's, I've got lots of chocolate (white and dark) toffee, fudge, cherrys and some more sexy stuff. What do you think.

I would think that would be your basic truffle recipe with some Chinese Five Spice in the chocolate and perhaps rolled in it.
