I'm partial to the Lite-On DVD burners, myself. Make sure you get one that supports dual-layer. However, you won't be able to burn just ANY DVD disc without the proper software which circumvents the protections the manufacturers put on them. No, I don't have the software, either, but older software like DVD X-Copy did the trick before it was pulled off of the shelves.

Mine came with Nero, too. A friend of mine swears by Alcohol 120%, though.

cool Great program indeed , Alcohol 120% nod
I have all my Prince DVD boots as image files on my pc
You can simply 'insert' the image file into the virtual drive and it
plays like the original DVD
And it's easy to burn those images too
cool

I have a Sony Dual Layer on my desktop and something on my laptop called NTI that I use to burn stuff. Never had a problem burning anything, copyright protected or not.

One thing I'd like to have but don't is a LightScribe burner. It'd be nice to burn images on the discs than using labels or writing stuff on them. Maybe as a second drive. hmmm

Well, the bugs haven't been worked out of those drives anyway from what I've read, so it's best to wait until they have them fixed and the price of those discs come down.

Don't you have to pay or register DVD Decrypter now?
