What have you learned from soaps?

I've just heard something really profound on Corrie! (British soap)

Eileen Grimshaw:

"... I mean, if I were in India I'd be a Hindu, if I lived in Israel I'd be a Jew .... Religion's got nothing to do with faith, it's to do with geography."

Corrie!
eek

Anybody else learned anything from a soap?

That I can return back from the dead after died nine times. (like Sheridan on Passions for example)

Learn the tricks and trade of how to do things above the law/or take matters in your own hands and still be bad sexy mfuckers at the same time and acted like you are Socrates or something by giving advice to the other characters(Think Sonny, Luke, and Jason from General Hospital)

Death is not necessarily the end!

Also, I've learned to have important conversations with my back to the other person, arms folded, looking slightly up into the air.

And tough questions don't require immediate responses. Just look at the person for a while in silence.

At a huge party at the Carrington Estate, Krystal can always be found sitting in a huge chair in the Library, thats conveniently facing a wall, unbeknownst to 2 or more people who is plotting revenge or/and shady business dealings that involve her family.

Always refer to people by their full names

"John Black has a new identity now."

"Victor Kiriakis is up to his old tricks again"

"I'll bet it's that Stefano DeMira!!"

falloff You are really making me laugh.

Here's another. Never, ever, ever, under any circumstances, reveal a plot to kill, maim or injure someone, take control of their business empire or kidnap their children without first checking behind the curtain, door or wall for people that may be lurking in the shadows. And never trust a secretary.
