On a plane, you feel the power of the engines when you take off but don't really have a sense of it after that. A helicopter, to me, feels like you have a giant hand above you which is lifting you up. All the power is above you. It's exhilarating. retina said: emm said: anyone been on a helicopter??
In Hawaii. I liked it but it was a bit freaky since it felt like a big hand was holding us in the air, plus it felt weird to have to talk to the person sitting next to me using an intercom (because of the deafening noise). Wow ... don't you think it's amazing that we described helicopters in exactly the same way? ... and I've never heard anyone say it before. A big hand - that's right!

Las Vegas? potentially arizona so it would be a shame not to do LV but not at $312 however nothing is booked so it is still all up in the air and i thought the big hand helicopter thing was freaky cool too

i love everything at night, driving, plane trips, bus trips, anything really. i don't like how busy the daytime is and how alot of people are snappy or grumpy during the day. night time travelling makes me happy and think alot more. "The is no great genius without some touch of madness" -Seneca

I didn't read your reply before posting mine (sorry about that), so there's obviously some degree of objective truth in our descriptions. If we ever get picked up by a giant, we'll know for sure. Hopefully he'll set us down as gently as the helicopter pilots did.
