Stilletos I'm watching this teenage girl walk by me and she obviously is having a hard time walking in her pumps. That shit is so funny. I feel bad for her back.
When I was in high school it was timberlands and sneakers. These girls are killing their backs before they hit adulthood. And because they're young, they aren't buying the expensive somewhat supportive kind. Cheap Payless pumps. What did you do in your teens that you now do better?

If I were a teen today,I wouldnt wear stilettos to school I'd feel like a ho. In highschool I wore skechers and heels only to church..Low heels. When I was a teen I colored my hair. I was a blonde, a red head and a brunette. I thought I was a Spice Girl Now I know better. Natural is best for me. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

when I was a teen and wanting to wear high heels out ...
I had to learn how to walk in them ... my mom would put a book on my head and i would walk through the house ... the final test was when i could walk up the 2 flights of stairs and back down without dropping the book from my head I could wear them whenever I wanted I think my mom though it would take a 13 yr old far longer then 2 hours in one day to master it

I had no desire to wear any kinda heels other than platforms when I was a teenager. All my shoes were clunky and chunky and big and I loved it. But now I wish I'd worn typical girly shoes, cause I think I would be abel to wear them now if I'd been wearing them all along. I don't have wide feet (I don't need wide sized shoes) but I can't wear any kind of shoe with a pointy toe (they fit but after 10 minutes of standing in them they HURT!!!), and that's basically all dressy fun shoes. It makes me sad. |

I wore RIDICULOUS shoes to school in my last year. black court shoes, with a round toe and a thick 4.5 (or something ridiculously as huge) heel. They *killed* me, but I wore them every day
Then once I left school I would try them on and I couldnt even out my feet in them, they were crippling! It's wierd, because as you say they were shit quality, and now I go out dancing in really good shoes, with bigger heels, and stilettoes usually - and Im fine

I went thru a 60s vintage stage in high school and I wore chunky heel shoes.
Now I wear stilletos pretty much all the time. I don't see many young girls in high heels around here, most of them wear sneakers, even if they are all dressed up. The worst is the kind where the tongues of the shoes are sticking out over their super tight ass jeans.

Yeah, all the girls here seem to wear little ballet pumps or flat leather boots with their jeans tucked into them, which looks very 80s to me! I'm not feeling the little pumps though, not in winter I dunno, I just prefer heels, and stilettos too!

Stilletos to highschool are you kidding! Small heel at the most on casual day (i never did casual i only did i dunoo somethin else but not casual ) The highest heels i had in my teenz were a pair of white heels for both my aunty's weddings as bridesmaid and my metallic baby blue heels for my end of highschool Year 12 formal. And i remember my feet throbbing after wearing them too!
What do i not do better than when i was a teenager is the question i'm aiming for! LOL!! I look after myself better fullstop- when i was in my teenz i was still trying to figure it all out- fitness, appearance, and generally interacting without caring what the next person thinks too much. Back then i was rather awkward- but to my friends i could have fooled them! I suppose awkward in comparison to myself now Also these days i can actually walk alot better in higher heel. Even if it kills me. I just bought a pair of bright red shoes with a sling back (that hurts) and peep hole at the toe and are cork/wood like at the sole- platformed up with a ridiculously high heel (think sandra dee when she turns bad at the end of Grease when she stomps on that cigarrette with that shoe!) ...the height isn't nearly as bad as the strap and burns into my poor little ankles...but damn they look sexy! No hablo espanol,no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... "Come into my world..." Missy Quote of da Month: "yeah, sure, that's cool...wait WHAT?! "

Well, as far as stilettos go - I never wore stilettos to school but I did wear three inch heels beginning in fifth grade because they were easier to find in women's and I hated ugly shoes (I was very picky, you must know "ugly" had a broad definition, mostly because I wanted the heels). I've never really quit wearing heels, so I don't know better now or anything like that. I'm still just as ridiculous.
As far as something I do know better about now that I attempted back then, I used to try to be cool. But it's usually the people who don't try who are cool. Otherwise that's about it. HE'S COMING AGAIN

well i didn't wear pumps in high school but i did wear high heeled boots during the fall and the winter. I wear high heeled pumps and shoes now, but the heels are skinnier and higher Also, I know exactly which shoes are mean't to walk in and the ones that mean't to look "cute" in....the ladies should know what i mean by that I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Thinking about this made me remember this pair of boots I had - I got them on clearance and I thought they were the coolest thing. Well, they had this really loud heel on them and I wore them practically every day in fifth grade. I once got up to do something and walked past this kid who was always in trouble and he went (really loudly): "Stop wearing those, would you? I thought you were the teacher!"
The teacher and I both looked at him and said "You must have a guilty conscience." It's one of those weird memories I can't erase, despite its complete unimportance and irrelevance to my life right now. HE'S COMING AGAIN

When I lived on campus, I'd see girls walking to class in stilletos. I think most were sorority girls. The campus was huge and spread all over the place. I'd get sore feet walking from class to class with walking shoes on, so I know it had to be painful for them. I adore the look of them and would kill to be able to walk in them. I only like certain types of stilletos though.....like the platform types.

I never wore heels untill I became a dancer. I didn't even know how to walk in them let alone dance in them, but I didn't know how to do alot of things like how to do my hair or apply make up right! But I was a girl then now I am a woman. Now I really like high heels and feel very comfortable in them.

I caught 2 buses & had a long walk home - you wouldn't catch me in anything but tennis shoes (sneakers) on a school day Or a flat boot, but I think all that Timberland shit was in the 90's (my college days).
Now I only wear heels when I'm going out, trying to be cute But my everyday gear for work is more casual & comfy. Who needs the hassle? I don't have to be around a lot of people @ work, there's no one to impress but myself so fuck it
