My father's grappling with a lot right now, but the doctors say that his condition has stabilized and that the next day will be critical for seeing how he'll recover.
So, please continue to pray for his strength, for the ability of his body to fight infection and for his caregivers (and family). Thanks for your prayers.

I just want to thank God for His mercy, for His loving-kindness, for His grace, for His power, for honoring His covenant through Christ Jesus to be mindful of His children's needs and to heal.
 
My father made a huge turn for the better today. In two days, he's gone from heavy sedation and a ventilator and a battalion of medications and machines to being lucid, stronger and breathing on his own. Praise the LORD!!! He's doing so much better, in terms of his vital signs and his temperment and condition, that my family and I are breathing a big ol' sigh of relief. He still has a way to go, as he recuperates. But, I'm just giving God praise for what He has done. HALLELUJAH!!!! God is good. I'm an idiot. With all of the above in mind, I want to thank you all for your prayers for my father's healing and recovery. Thank you all so very much! (idiot edit) [Edited 12/6/06 18:24pm] | |

When the Doctor finally allowed us to see him, He apologized for ruining everyones Christmas. It broke all of us down. But he's doing real good now. Threadbare you hang on to those scriptures. They'll get you through this rough time. God Bless.My father's sick. He has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. Hardheaded as he is, he'd been battling something for the past few days but didn't think he needed to go to the hospital. God is a healer, and I stand on His word that declares that by the stripes (lashes) that Christ endured, we are healed. I also believe in the power of prayer. So, I truly would appreciate your prayers for his healing; for the expert attention, treatment and care from the caregivers; for him to receive wisdom concerning his workload; for my family to support my mom during this tough time; and for the peace of Christ to surround my family.
