Holiday decorations...

I'm finding it very difficult to get motivated to decorate anything. I do have some holiday decorations that survived the fire, but they're downstairs in the basement of my apartment building and I just don't think I can be bothered to lug them up two flights of stairs...outside the building and then up three more flights of stairs.

Anyone else not decorating? Any ideas for some festive, but easy decor?

I saw something cute on HGTV. They took some candleholders of different heights and spray-painted them gold. Then they placed glass ornaments of different shapes in them upside down. When arranged on a mantle it was very pretty. Looked like little orbs on pedastals.

I haven't started decorating yet either, but I'm going out tomorrow to find my live Christmas tree. I hear ya about not wanting to carry decorations up a flight of steps, it's a pain in the rear. I live on the second floor of my building, and every year at Christmas, my tree has to be dragged up a flight of steps to get it into my place. It looks great when it's up and decorated, but it's a lot of work.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Same here, but it's like 10 flights of stairs in total...plus, I have to go outside and around to the back of the building to get to the basement.

Number23

I live and breathe for Christmas, but I'm rarely arsed to pin up glittery things. The baubles on a Christmas tree represent black men's heads which were chopped off during the Crucades. That's my groovy life-changing fact for the day/night/solstice. Have a nice sleep.

I FELT THAT WAY LAST CHRISTMAS. I DIDN'T PUT MY TREE UP BECAUSE I DID NOT FEEL LIKE WRESTLING WITH IT, BUT I BOUGHT LIGHTED GARLANDS AND DRAPED IT AROUND THE DOORWAYS AND WINDOWS AND PLACED POINSETTIAS THROUGHOUT THE LIVING & DINING ROOM ALONG WITH CANDELS AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!
I'M NOT SHOUTING, JEEZ!

My icicles were out last weekend and the tree and indoor decorations are out now...woot!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I think every room in my house is decorated. Every possible square foot, is decked out. I kinda hate that about myself, I wish I could stop. neutral

Plus I'm having a Christmas party this weekend, which means I will go nutts and make every kind of cookie possible.

I hate myself. confused
