Oh man oh man oh man oh man

My company is offering the opportunity for me to manage a property in Pacifica, CA. That is, if the purchase goes through.

I would have to move there, but it's a coastal community just south of San Francisco.
I've always wanted to live close to the beach.

Would you go?

These are pictures of part of the property itself.

Well, I'd have to put my daughter into a new school in the middle of the year.

Have you ever lived by the ocean? Would you do it?

I have never lived by the ocean. Do you own a home? The school thing is tricky. Is she involved in many activities that she is passionate about?

I don't own a home. This area is so OVERPRICED. I keep waiting for the house prices to go down. My daughter is involved in music and the Gifted and Talented programs, so there's no problem there. I absolutely love the ocean, but I want to make sure that we'll all be happy, y'know?

She says that she wants to go, but I don't want her to be unhappy. There's a substantial raise in salary that I really need because I basically support her all by myself.

Pacifica is one of the most
beautiful, serene,

I've got a freakishly fantastic story about Pacifica. Twas recent and includes a wedding, a near-death experience, and a wonderful old man playing bagpipes on the beach. lol No joke. Please move there. It's a magical place.

And only an hour away. razz

I live right on the beach, and I couldn't recommend it too highly.

It's such a good VIBE. Worth it, all the way.

Is this one of those deals like the girl who was contemplating whether to try runway moedelling where she asked what she should do but what she really wanted to hear was "go for it" and when i didn't say that she got missed.

What do you want to hear? "Go for it"????

Everything about this thread says GO nod

From the pay rise to your daughter saying she doesnt mind. Ask her again if you're unsure, but for my money she's the only thing holding you back - and shes not even doing that....

YES....GO.....NOW!!

Everything points to "opportunity of a lifetime"....and from what I hear from my Cali troops and friends, the schools are primo....top notch...

on the side of caution, visit the area with your daughter.....I'm sure you've researched all the particulars, so it would be just you and her sightseeing, to gauge how she likes the area, and how you like it as well....

but from the pix, its beautiful....probably colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra in the winter, but too beautiful to pass up....either way, good luck!! thumbs up!

Your husband's cool with it, right"? Will he be able to find work?

Shit, I'd do it... Your daughter will adapt to her new school.
This one's for you.

I guess it depends on where you live.

I already live in Tampa, and Siesta, Anna Maria Island, and Caldesi are all within an hours drive or less, so I wouldn't trade the sunsets on those beaches for anything.

But if I lived in any state other than California, New York, or Florida, I'd move there in a fucking heartbeat.

He can do what he's doing there. It's not too far from where we are now.
