Right now at the place I work, we're having a chef event every weekend. I've only been there a couple of months, and all the old bitches in my department who've been there since last January are extremely angry at me and the other "new girl" because our supervisor picked us to do the chef events for the month of December. Everyone complained, to which our supervisor explained we interact better with the people () and we just in general do better at our job.

It means more hours, it means more work, but dammit we get to cook up a storm and have a microphone and bullshit with people all day. Which isn't much different from a normal day, except for the microphone.

It's also a very nice pay raise for the weekends. WEE! Being told you do a good job is nice.
