Yup. Got a free meal at a local restaurant for finding where the radio station's van was hiding in my town.

yup. for some star wars trivia. i got a coupon for some free food from a local fast food place and a kids book and tape that i gave to the boys i was babysitting at the time. it was power rangers or teenage mutant ninja turtles or something like that. i ate the food though. and it was goooood.

Yeah, but that was many years ago, I haven't listened to the radio for many years. I won a ticket and a trip to a Prince concert in 1986. It was my first Prince concert ever and as it was about 800kms away from where I live. I don't think I would have gone without winning the trip at that time.
And I also won tickets for the Viennese premiere of the Sott movie and the Parade album and the Bangles Different Light album on vinyl. Not bad as I entered just one competion I didn't win anything I guess .

No, but I helped a co-worker win a radio contest to receive 2 tickets to the REO speedwagen concert.

He asked if I wanted to come with him, and I told him the event was a "must miss" for me.

I won me +1 on the guestlist to see They Might Be Giants at First Ave. This was maybe 7 years ago? Maybe more? I so don't remember.

Radio and TV stuff, yes.

I went through a phase around 5 years ago of entering loads of competitions but I never won any of the big prizes and my numbers never come up on the lottery.

I think it's just a case that the more you enter, the more you're likely to win.

Some of the items I can remember winning are:

- A set of Stanley Kubrick Videos and promo stuff (I was trying to win Prince tickets)
- Ricky Martin CDs
- A book on Bollywood
- A book of poems
- Tickets for someone (can't remember who) at the Jazz Cafe
- Various posters, cosmetics, perfume, vitamins etc.

I haven't entered any competitions lately but it was fun when I was doing it, waiting to see what would arrive through the post.
