4 year old saves family from gunpoint robbery!

4-Year-Old Transforms To Thwart Armed Robbery
(CBS 3) DURHAM, N.C. While his family was being held at gunpoint during a robbery, a 4-year-old North Carolina boy transformed in to a "Power Ranger" to save the day.

The little boy named Stevie was able to sneak away and put on his "Red Power Ranger" outfit. When he returned, he was ready to battle the bad guys.

"I was saving everybody,” Stevie said. “Yeah, I was the Red Ranger."

The thieves managed to get away with credit cards, cash and a cell phone, but Stevie’s mom believes her son saved the family from physical harm.

No one was injured in the robbery. It is unclear if Stevie will continue to use his powers for good.

This story concerns me...Why wasn't this kid taught to dial 911? He could have got himself and his family killed...not smart at all...

and not smart of the press to be reporting this tounge and cheek...they might give other kids a stupid idea.

for a minute i was thinking this was gonna be about one of them mega bad-assed kids who act up, no matter who's around, and end up scaring the robbers off somehow.

I agree. Is it supposed to be funny or cute that the boy's first instinct was to put on a costume and rush in to get himself killed?

This kid was VERY lucky! I'm glad that the story ended the way it did, but he could have been putting himself in more harm. You never know what's going on in the minds of desperate criminals, and seeing this kid suddenly appear in a costume could have startled them. I'm sure he's enjoyig the attention he's getting right now, and I hope this doesn't happen to his family again.
