In Hell's Kitchen a tiny little 15' x 15' studio will set you back $1200- $1500/month easy...(I looked and was like, "Hell No.")
My friends in Astoria/LIC pay $1100 for one bedrooms... But to Muse-- you might want to consider if you want potential roomies to provide credit report, tax returns, bank statments or if you want security deposit/last months rent up front. Are you going to have a lease drawn up? And asking for references/names of past landlords to check with might not be a bad idea either. | |

My house is only 1450 sq feet. Holy shit. $1200/m for 1450sq feet is downright cheap for this area. | |

Wow, for the rent Muse is paying per month she could own 3 houses renting out 2 and living in the other in a great neighborhood with 3-4 bedrooms and 2 baths, basement...finished or not.
My rent is only $600 and it covers everything but my phone, cable and internet and I have an 825sq ft apartment | |
