I love Craiglist for selling things. But, yeah, in Seattle most of the Missed Connections are people who were right there, but were too chicken to ask the person out....

'missed connections' in chicago is more for people who didn't have the time or guts to yell at someone. posts will be like "TO THE @$$HOLE WHO RAN OVER MY FOOT WITH HIS BIKE @ WRIGLEY FIELD". sometimes there's something cute or sweet. usually it's just pissed off people.

If you ever get a chance or are just bored, click on the STL 'rants and raves'. Ive lived here my whole life, except for military tours, and have not known how racist the folks here are. I knew it was here but wow! Get a bunch of cowards behind a keyboard and they man-up big time.

i met craig at an event we threw a few months back...i totally thanked him for "rants & raves" and said that whenever work put me in a mood r&r was there to give me a laugh...he gave me a sincere socially ackward thank you and then recommend i check out the "missed connections" forum...

the guy is a cultural icon yet i dont think he knows it.

i sold an old car on craig's list. i had it parked for 2 months with a sign on it, on a fairly busy street, sold in within one week of bein on craig's list.
